HYUNDAI CRETA.  REPORTED ACCIDENT STABILITY ISSUE

Images of an all new Hyundai Creta laying turtle are testimony to mob fury resulting from an accident. The incident occurred when a dealership test vehicle and a biker came in contact. As a result, locals gathered and thought it best to use their collective force to overturn the vehicle, and inflict extensive damage on the vehicle body. At the time of the incident, dealership personnel and a potential customer were in the test drive car. As it turns out, shortly after the incident, locals gathered in a fairly intimidating number and chose to damage the car to mete out immediate justice. This could very well be a case to take to court and seek justice. Vandalism just doesn’t cut it.

Maruti Suzuki opens premium car showrooms-NEXA

Maruti Suzuki wants to shed its tag as just a budget car maker. The company might have sold most of the 15 million cars it has produced in India for the budget segment but India’s largest carmaker is scripting a move up the segment stair. The company has opened its first premium dealership in Dwarka, New Delhi that sells the Ciaz C-segment Sedanonly at present. It will be joined by the upcoming crossover S-Cross/Across and then the premium YRA hatchback around Diwali.
Many such showrooms are planned across the Country to house Maruti’s premium models for display as the company expects to attract the more affluent car buyer. Expect these showrooms to provide a better, more inviting buying experience. The premium dealership network is reportedly called Nexa and will find its way to major cities across the Country to begin with.
While the small car segment is doing well for Maruti Suzuki, there is a noticeable shift in the entry level segment from cars like the Alto and Wagon R to the Celerio andSwift and this trend is only heading upwards. The Nexa network will take a few years to establish itself so it seems the right time for the carmaker as it starts introducing its more expensive models start rolling in.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Launching On August 5, 2015

Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest carmaker, will launch the much-anticipated S-Cross Premium Crossover on August 5, 2015, revealed MSI at the inauguration of its premium dealership range Nexa.  The vehicle will be sold exclusively through the company's premium dealerships - Nexa.

The company will initially have 100 dealerships across 30 major cities. In the areas where the company won't have these dealerships, it will take bookings at regular Maruti Suzuki sales outlets and then potential buyers will be driven to the nearest Nexa dealership. Other than the S-Cross, there will be no other cars on display at the company's premium dealership range. Just so you know, the company intends to launch more premium cars in coming months.
The S-Cross will be made available with two diesel engine options - 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre multijet diesel. While the former is the same that powers the Ciaz, Swift, Swift Dzire and Ertiga, the more powerful 1.6-litre multijet diesel engine will make its India debut with the S-Cross. Though the 1.6-litre diesel powertrain will be imported, the company says that the 1.6-litre engined variants will be priced quite competitively.
